Activism, Culture, Justice, Music Off 40

Revolutionary MC, Gat Turner, is known for musically translating the message of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad into lyrical antidotes capable of eradicating  mental bondage. In the wake of last night’s grand jury decision not to indict Darren Wilson for instigating and then murdering Michael Brown, Gat released “If They Gunned Me Down” in honor of the Black men and women who were victims of police brutality and justifiable homicide. The digital track can be heard and purchased at  gatturner.bandcamp.com.
